Motorola DGP8050e Walkie Talkie

Motorola DGP8050e Two Way Radio

Motorola DGP8050e is a portable two-way radio compliant with DMR Tier-III standards. As a systems integrator, we can confidently recommend this product to sheriffs looking for a “future-proof” solution on a budget.

Main features

Supports DMR Tier II/III Standards
The Motorola DGP8050e comes pre-installed with firmware compliant with ETSI TS 102 361-1-3, allowing the same device to roam on traditional repeaters and easily upgrade to trunked Capacity Max systems.

1000 Channels, Full Keyboard, Color Display
Patrol personnel can set up interagency, SWAT, narcotics, and event channels on a single handheld device. The 2-inch color screen displays areas, encryption icons, and signal strength in sunlight, offering greater usability than police two-way radio models without screens.

256-bit AES Encryption and Enhanced Privacy Protection
The DGP8050e uses AES encryption and 40-bit basic privacy protection, meeting the requirements of most sensitive law enforcement communications. Unlike other secure radios, the DGP8050e’s key loading can be upgraded over the air via the radio management system, reducing factory returns for maintenance by 80%.

Optional Explosion-Proof and IP68 Dual Certification
This walkie-talkie is UL TIA-4950 explosion-proof certified, suitable for Class 1 explosive environments, and meets IP68 (2 meters, 2 hours) protection standards, making it suitable for diving operations.

Integrated Accelerometer and Personnel Fall Alarm Function
The built-in triaxial sensor triggers tilt, stillness, and personnel fall alarms, wirelessly transmitting alerts to the dispatch center. Because this function is native, no external sensor clip is required, keeping the police two-way radio slim and snagging-free.

Bluetooth 4.0 + Wi-Fi Integration
Officers can pair it with a wireless concealed headset for listening, while IT personnel can push firmware updates via Wi-Fi through the same radio during roll call. Motorola’s older security radios required two separate option boards—we’ve saved space and cost here.

GNSS and Indoor Positioning
GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou provide positioning accuracy of less than 5 meters outdoors; Bluetooth beacons provide room-level positioning inside courthouses.
