Kenwood NXR-710 Repeater
Features
Pure NXDN Repeater Core
Drop the Kenwood NXR 710 into a rack and you instantly turn one analog channel into two crystal-clear digital slots. 6.25 kHz FDMA keeps regulators happy while giving security teams at a sprawling university campus double the traffic without paying for extra spectrum.
Analog & Digital in One Box
The same Kenwood NXR 710 can host legacy QT/DQT portables on Monday and full NXDN encryption on Friday. A freight railway proved the point: yard tractors still run analog, new locomotives run digital, and dispatch never hears a click of dead air.
25 W Continuous Duty
This 2 way radio repeater is fan-cooled and spec’d at 25 W, 100 % duty cycle. A copper mine ran it 24 × 7 at 45 °C ambient; the only maintenance was an annual air-filter swap.
IP-Link Ready
Built-in Ethernet lets you link multiple sites or push firmware over the air. A municipal utility tied three remote water-tower sites together with a single VPN, turning three standalone 2 way radio repeater towers into one seamless network.
Security Layers Built-In
UID/GID validation plus AES-128 scrambling stop rogue radios cold. During a stadium concert, the promoter’s private security team ran encrypted traffic on the Kenwood NXR 710 while public-safety analog still got through on the same antenna system—no leaks, no drama.
Scalable I/O
Programmable AUX ports talk to SCADA, GPS AVL or a simple door sensor. A container port now triggers yard-wide alerts on the NXDN repeater the moment a gate camera spots an unauthorized truck.
