Motorola CP200D Walkie Talkie
Motorola CP200D
Motorola CP200d strikes an ideal balance between simplicity and capability. Its rugged design, long battery life, and clear audio make it suitable for everyday use, while its DMR feature set future-proofs the investment.
Main features
DMR Dual-Mode Flexibility: Analog Today, Digital Tomorrow
The Motorola CP200d is available in two hardware variants—analog-only or analog/digital. Both versions share the same physical footprint, battery family, and accessory ecosystem, so fleets can standardize on one form factor while phasing in digital capabilities at their own pace. When the time is right, a simple software upgrade unlocks full DMR Tier II operation, turning an existing fleet of analog portables into a network of Motorola DMR radios without replacing chargers, batteries, or carry accessories.
Proven Ruggedness and Ergonomics
Measuring 127.7 × 61.5 × 42.0 mm (with the NiMH battery) and weighing as little as 341 g with the slim Li-Ion pack, the CP200d fits comfortably in the hand and clips securely to a belt or vest. The radio meets MIL-STD-810 G for shock, vibration, temperature shock, and salt fog, and carries an IP54 rating against dust and splash water. For technicians working on a construction site or security officers patrolling a campus, that durability translates into lower repair costs and less downtime.
Clear Audio in Noisy Environments
A large, front-firing speaker and digital noise-cancelling algorithms ensure every call is intelligible. Automatic Gain Control (AGC) adjusts microphone sensitivity in real time, so a whisper or a shout is reproduced at a consistent level on the receiving end. Whether the unit is used as a Motorola UHF walkie talkie in a warehouse or as a VHF unit in an open-pit mine, the audio performance remains consistently high.
Extended Battery Life
Battery options range from a 1400 mAh NiMH pack to a 2900 mAh ultra-high-capacity Li-Ion pack. In digital mode, the 2900 mAh battery delivers up to 25 hours of service, while the slim 1600 mAh Li-Ion still provides 14.5 hours—more than a full shift for most users. Longer runtimes reduce the number of spare batteries a fleet must carry and simplify logistics for multi-day operations.
