Motorola DEP450 is a DMR portable two-way radio, the best solution for quickly migrating analog radio fleets to DMR two-way radios without dismantling and replacing infrastructure, retraining staff, or exceeding capital expenditure budgets. It’s suitable for factory floors, coordinating personnel for events, or ensuring secure communications in multi-story hotels.

Dual-Mode Operation
The Motorola DEP450 comes standard with both analog and DMR digital functions integrated into a single codec. Users can currently run traditional CSQ/PL tone communication systems and easily transition to DMR Tier II via software switching once a repeater is upgraded.
Dual-Timeslot Straight-Through Mode
For customers without repeaters, the radio still allows for two independent calls on a single 12.5 kHz channel via dual-capacity straight-through mode. This is 100% faster than analog two-way radios in the same band, an advantage often enough to secure investment at the first meeting.
High-Capacity Lithium-Ion Battery
The Motorola DEP450 uses a 2250 mAh battery pack, providing up to 19 hours of continuous operation in digital mode with a 5/5/90 duty cycle, 40% longer than its analog replacement.
Rugged and Durable
Operating temperature range -30 °C to +60 °C, IP54 protection rating, meets MIL-STD 810G military standard. It can withstand vibration, thermal shock, salt spray, and dust. This rugged and durable characteristic is its hallmark.
Audio Intelligence Suite
Based on DSP-driven noise suppression, AGC, and AMBE+2 vocoder, it delivers over 90% speech intelligibility even in background noise of 90 dB SPL.
